This series offers space for engagement among professionals serving birthing families to find solace and a healing way forward in the midst of the current global crisis of COVID19 and the impacts of systemic racism.

Our featured speakers are:
Akhmiri Sekhr-Ra based in Minneapolis, MN is Chief Program Officer at Cultural Wellness Center. Akhmiri is a national trainer with Jennie Joseph’s Commonsense Childbirth School of Midwifery.

Ngozi Doreen D. Tibbs, MPH, LCCE, IBCLC is a nationally recognized speaker and educator on anti-racism, cultural humility, and maternal child health. She serves as a lactation consultant and childbirth educator at the largest hospital in Western Pennsylvania and with Healthy Start, Pittsburgh.

Onion M. Carrillo de Norman, MSW based in Seattle, WA is a past board member of PATTCh. Onion is a consultant at Ignite Communities and directly activates community based interventions. For over 12 years she has been an active doula for specifically births that intersect with trauma (cultural, interpersonal and historical).

Our panel moderator is Annie Kennedy, MA, Founding Member & Board Member of PATTCh and a maternity care advocate based in Seattle, Washington.
